This voyage is an independent project built on years of experience, careful preparation, and a family-built boat with a story of its own.
Your support helps cover the real costs of preparing and completing a solo non-stop circumnavigation, while allowing the journey to be shared openly along the way.
Every form of support — practical, financial, or simply helping the story reach the right people — moves the project forward.
A Journey Without Borders is about more than sailing around the world.
It is about:
self-reliance, preparation, and working with the ocean rather than against it
continuing the story of a boat built by hand over seven years
representing Ukraine on one of the world’s great ocean routes
showing what is possible through patience, skill, and determination
inspiring others to pursue meaningful goals of their own
If this resonates with you, thank you for being part of it.
Before the ocean journey can begin, Estra must first leave Ukraine and reach a safe marina where full preparation can continue.
The next step is transporting the boat by land to Romania, relaunching her there, and beginning the passage toward Turkey.
This is the most immediate and important stage of the project.
Every contribution helps move Estra closer to the sea she was built for.
Preparing a small yacht for a solo circumnavigation requires significant investment long before departure.
Main expenses include:
safety equipment
communication systems
sails and rigging
navigation and power systems
repairs and maintenance
transport and logistics
weather services and voyage operating costs
Support can be:
one-time or recurring
personal or anonymous
directed toward preparation or the voyage itself
Every contribution, regardless of size, directly supports the journey.
I am open to partnerships with brands, organisations, and individuals whose values align with the spirit of the project.
Relevant areas include:
sailing and offshore equipment
safety and navigation
sustainability and education
exploration and endurance sports
media and storytelling
Partnerships may include:
equipment support
technical collaboration
financial sponsorship
media and content cooperation
If you are interested in working together, I would be glad to connect.
Advice and experience can be just as valuable as funding.
If you have knowledge in areas such as:
offshore or Southern Ocean sailing
weather routing
rigging, sails, or self-steering systems
safety, medical, or survival equipment
offshore maintenance and repairs
your input is warmly welcome.
Sometimes the simplest support has the biggest reach.
You can help by:
following the journey
sharing the project with others
talking about it in the right communities
connecting it with people or organisations who may want to help
Every introduction and every share can open a new door.
This project is being built step by step, with persistence and trust.
Thank you for being part of A Journey Without Borders.
